LEED Certification
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, is the world's most widely used green building rating system. Projects earn points across categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation. Point totals determine certification level: Certified (40-49), Silver (50-59), Gold (60-79), or Platinum (80+). LEED v4.1, the current version, emphasizes performance-based outcomes—measuring actual energy and water use after occupancy—rather than relying solely on design-stage predictions.
