Claws and Teeth
Grizzly bears have long, curved claws β up to 4 inches long! These claws are perfect for digging up roots, tearing apart logs to find insects, and catching slippery salmon. Polar bears have shorter, sharper claws for gripping ice and grabbing seals. Bear teeth tell you what they eat: grizzlies have flat molars for crushing berries AND sharp canines for tearing meat (omnivore teeth!). Polar bears have razor-sharp teeth designed purely for ripping meat and blubber.
