Dolphin Brains and Tricks

Dolphins are among the smartest animals on Earth! Their brains are large and complex — a bottlenose dolphin's brain is actually BIGGER than a human brain. Dolphins can recognize themselves in mirrors (very few animals can do this!), which shows self-awareness. They can understand grammar — they know that 'bring the ball to the hoop' is different from 'bring the hoop to the ball.' They learn by watching others and can solve complex problems. Some scientists rank dolphin intelligence right after humans!
