The pyramids of Egypt are some of the most amazing buildings ever made! They were built over 4,500 years ago as tombs for the pharaohs, who were the kings of Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Giza is as tall as a 45-story building and is made of about 2.3 million stone blocks! Each block weighs as much as a car. It took thousands of workers many years to build just one pyramid.
