Your Ultimate Design
You now know what makes a paper airplane fly well:
- Wing shape affects lift and drag
- Nose weight can improve straight flight
- Wing tip angles control climb and dive
- Consistent throws give reliable data
Using this knowledge, design the ULTIMATE paper airplane! Think about what you want it to do best: fly the farthest? Stay in the air the longest? Do tricks?
For maximum distance: use a dart body, add a small paper clip on the nose, keep wings level.
For maximum time: use a glider body, wide wings, slight upward bend on wing tips.
For tricks: bend wing tips up for loops, or bend one up and one down for spirals!
