FICTION books tell stories that come from the author's IMAGINATION. The characters, places, and events are MADE UP — they did not really happen.
Fiction includes:
• Fairy tales (like Cinderella)
• Animal stories where animals talk (like Frog and Toad)
• Adventures in magical lands
• Stories about kids just like you!
Even though fiction is not real, it can teach us important lessons about friendship, bravery, kindness, and more.
