Quiet Voice
The library is a place where people come to READ, STUDY, and THINK. That is why we use our QUIET VOICE — also called a whisper voice or library voice.
A library voice is:
• Much softer than your normal voice
• Just loud enough for the person next to you to hear
• NOT a shout, yell, or loud laugh
If you need to talk, lean close to the person and speak softly.
