Braiding Basics

A braid uses three strands of string, yarn, or embroidery floss. Tie them together at one end and tape it to the table so it stays put. Now the magic: take the RIGHT strand and cross it over the MIDDLE. Then take the LEFT strand and cross it over the new middle. Right over middle, left over middle — keep going!
