Mixed Practice: Doubles and Near Doubles

How do you know which strategy to use? If both numbers are the same (like 6+6), it is a double — just recall the answer. If the numbers are 1 apart (like 6+7), it is a near double — use doubles plus one. Being able to quickly identify which type of fact you are looking at helps you pick the fastest strategy.
