Be the Composer
A great composer uses dynamics to make music exciting and meaningful. Now it is YOUR turn to be the composer!
Your challenge: create an 8-measure clapping piece that uses at least THREE different dynamic levels (like soft, medium, and loud) and at least ONE crescendo or decrescendo.
Here is a template to get you started:
Measures 1-2: Piano (soft clapping)
Measures 3-4: Crescendo (gradually get louder)
Measures 5-6: Forte (loud clapping!)
Measures 7-8: Decrescendo back to piano (fade to soft)
Or try a more dramatic version:
Measures 1-2: Forte (start loud!)
Measures 3-4: Suddenly piano (surprise! soft)
Measures 5-6: Crescendo (build up again)
Measures 7-8: Fortissimo (very loud finish!)
The choice is yours! There are no wrong answers. Express yourself!
