Your Story Characters
Now it is YOUR turn to create a musical story! Just like Prokofiev assigned instruments to Peter and the Wolf characters, you will assign SOUNDS to YOUR characters.
Step 1 Choose your characters (pick 3 to 4):
A hero: a brave kid, a friendly robot, a magic bunny
A friend: a silly bird, a loyal dog, a chatty fish
A challenge: a grumpy troll, a stormy cloud, a tricky fox
A helper: a wise owl, a kind fairy, a strong bear
Step 2 Assign sounds to each character. Use body percussion, classroom instruments, or everyday objects:
Hero: clapping pattern (confident and steady)
Friend: tongue clicks (quick and playful)
Challenge: stomping (heavy and scary)
Helper: finger snaps (wise and gentle)
The sound should MATCH the character. A big scary troll needs deep, heavy sounds. A tiny fairy needs light, high sounds. A fast rabbit needs quick, bouncy sounds. A slow turtle needs long, drawn-out sounds.
Write down your characters and their sounds so you remember them!
