Your Song Blueprint
Let us write your complete song! Follow this blueprint:
Step 1 TOPIC: what is your song about? Pick one thing: your pet, your favorite food, a funny memory, a feeling, or an adventure.
Step 2 HOOK: say your topic in 3 to 5 words. That is your hook! Examples: I Love Pizza, My Silly Cat, Best Day Ever, Let Us Dance.
Step 3 CHORUS: build four lines around your hook. Use the hook as the first or last line. Make it rhyme. Example: Best day ever, best day ever (hook), nothing could be better (rhyme). Sun is shining, birds are singing, best day ever, yeah!
Step 4 VERSE 1: write four lines that tell part of your story. Same melody as the chorus but softer. Different words. Example: I woke up this morning with a smile, had my breakfast, took a little while. Put my shoes on, ran outside, what a day for a bicycle ride!
Step 5 VERSE 2: write four MORE lines continuing the story. Same melody as verse 1 but new words. Example: I met my friend down at the park, we played until it got almost dark. We found a frog beside the creek, it jumped so high it made us shriek!
