Story: The Gingerbread Man
An old woman baked a gingerbread man. When she opened the oven door, the gingerbread man jumped out and ran! 'Stop! Stop!' cried the old woman. But the gingerbread man said, 'Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!' He ran past a cow. 'Stop!' said the cow. 'Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!' He ran past a horse. 'Stop!' said the horse. 'Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!' Then he came to a river. A sly fox said, 'Jump on my back. I'll carry you across.' The gingerbread man climbed on. As they crossed, the fox said, 'You're getting wet! Climb on my head.' Then the fox said, 'Climb on my nose!' And SNAP! The fox ate the gingerbread man. And that was the end of the gingerbread man.
