From Sentences to Paragraphs

A paragraph is a group of sentences about the same topic. When you read a paragraph, all the sentences work together to tell you about one idea. Here is a paragraph: 'I have a dog. His name is Max. Max likes to run in the park. He is a good dog.' All four sentences are about the same thing — Max the dog.
