Poem: A Limerick
There once was a frog on a log, / Who shared his big lunch with a dog. / They ate peanut butter / And started to stutter, / Then both fell asleep in the fog.
This funny poem is called a limerick! Limericks are short, silly poems with five lines. They follow a special rhyming pattern: lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme (log, dog, fog). Lines 3 and 4 rhyme (butter, stutter). Limericks are meant to make you laugh!
