Spinning Earth
The Earth is always spinning — we call this rotation! Imagine the Earth is like a basketball spinning on someone's finger. It spins around an invisible line through the middle called its axis. One full spin takes exactly 24 hours — that is one day! You cannot feel the spinning because everything around you spins with you, including the air. It is like sitting on a very smooth merry-go-round.
