Build a Simple Circuit

A circuit is a path that electricity flows through. The word 'circuit' means 'circle' — and that is the key! Electricity must flow in a COMPLETE LOOP. It starts at the battery, flows through the wire, through the light bulb (making it glow!), and back to the battery. If there is a break anywhere in the loop, the electricity stops and the bulb goes dark. It is like a race track — cars cannot finish if there is a gap in the road!
