Pond Animals

Ponds are bursting with life! Frogs sit on lily pads and catch flies with their tongues. Ducks swim on the surface and dive for plants. Fish like bass and bluegill swim through the water. Turtles bask on logs in the sun. Crayfish crawl along the bottom like tiny lobsters. Snails slide along rocks eating algae. Even beavers might build dams near ponds!
