Bees and Their Amazing Hive

Bees live together in big families called colonies. A colony can have up to 60,000 bees! There are three types of bees: the QUEEN BEE — there is only ONE queen. She is the biggest bee and her job is to lay eggs. WORKER BEES — these are all female and they do ALL the work! They build the honeycomb, find food, guard the hive, and take care of baby bees. DRONE BEES — these are male bees whose main job is to help the queen.
