Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque

Transparent materials let ALL the light pass through! You can see clearly through them. Glass windows are transparent — you can see right through to the other side. Clear water is transparent. Clear plastic wrap is transparent. Reading glasses are transparent. When light shines through a transparent object, it makes only a very faint shadow or no shadow at all.
