Lever Problem-Solving
Let's use what we know about levers to solve problems! Problem: You want to pry open a paint can lid. What do you use? A screwdriver as a lever! You slide the flat end under the lid, rest the screwdriver edge on the can rim (that is the fulcrum), and push down on the handle. Pop! The lid comes off easily because the lever multiplied your force!
