Simple Machines Working Together

Simple machines often work together! A bicycle uses wheels and axles, levers (the pedals and handlebars), and even a pulley-like chain system. A wheelbarrow uses a lever (the handles) and a wheel and axle. A pair of scissors uses two levers that cross. A hand-cranked well uses a wheel and axle with a rope. When simple machines team up, they can do amazing things!
