Water Vapor — Gas!

When water gets hot enough, it turns into an invisible gas called water vapor! You have seen this happen — steam rising from a hot pot of water, mist rising from a hot bath, or your breath on a cold day. The white 'steam' you see is actually tiny water droplets forming when hot water vapor meets cooler air. True water vapor is completely invisible — you cannot see it at all!
