Sunny and Rainy

When the sun is shining bright, you say hace sol in Spanish! It sounds like AH-seh sohl. Hace means it makes or it does, and sol means sun. So hace sol is like saying it makes sun — it is sunny! When you look outside and see a beautiful sunny day, smile and say hace sol! Sol also reminds you of solar energy — energy from the sun!
