Focusing and Taking Breaks

Focus means giving ALL of your attention to ONE thing. When you focus on homework, your brain works faster and better.

Try to work for 10-15 minutes without stopping. That is about the length of one cartoon episode! Set a timer if it helps. During focus time:

• Eyes on your paper

• Hands working

• Brain thinking about the task
