What Is the Home Row?
The HOME ROW is the middle row of letter keys on the keyboard. It is called 'home' because this is where your fingers LIVE when they are not typing.
The home row keys are: A S D F — G H — J K L ;
Your LEFT hand rests on A, S, D, F.
Your RIGHT hand rests on J, K, L, ;.
Your thumbs both rest on the SPACEBAR.
This is your home base! Your fingers always come back here.
