Math Words in Word Problems

Word problems use math vocabulary as clues. When you see 'in all' or 'altogether' or 'total,' you usually need to ADD. When you see 'how many more' or 'how many left' or 'difference,' you usually need to SUBTRACT. Knowing math words helps you solve word problems!
