Start with 'Today I...'
The hardest part of writing is getting started. That is why journal writers use starter phrases to begin their entries. Here are some great ones:
Today I...
This morning...
After school...
The best part of today was...
Something interesting happened...
I could not believe it when...
Guess what happened today!
Dear Journal,
Pick any of these and just START WRITING. Do not worry about being perfect. Just let the words flow.
Example:
Today I helped my mom make pancakes for breakfast. I got to crack the eggs all by myself! One of the eggs got shell in the batter but Mom helped me fish it out.
See? Just start with what happened, and the rest of the entry flows naturally!
