Your Best Comic Yet
For your final project, you are going to create the BEST comic strip you have ever made! Use everything you have learned:
Panels: draw clear panels with gutters between them. Try four to six panels for a longer story.
Characters: use the character you designed. Keep them consistent β same key features in every panel. Show different emotions as the story changes.
Dialogue: write clear, short, natural dialogue in speech bubbles. Use thought clouds when a character is thinking. Remember to order the bubbles correctly!
Action: use speed lines, shake lines, and other action marks to show movement. Add sound effects for impactful moments.
Story: have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Build up to a great punchline, surprise, or satisfying conclusion.
Here are some story prompts if you need inspiration:
Your character's pet learns to talk β what does it say?
Your character finds a magic object β what does it do?
Your character switches places with their teacher for a day.
Your character invents something that goes hilariously wrong.
Your character meets an alien who does not understand Earth things.
