From Plan to List
Once you have your meal plan, turn it into a shopping list!
Step 1: Go through each meal and write down every ingredient.
Step 2: Check your fridge, freezer, and pantry β cross off anything you already have.
Step 3: Organize your list by store section so you do not run back and forth.
Store sections:
PRODUCE: Fresh fruits and vegetables (usually near the entrance)
DAIRY: Milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, butter (usually along the back wall)
MEAT/PROTEIN: Chicken, beef, fish, tofu (near dairy)
BREAD/BAKERY: Fresh bread, tortillas, bagels
GRAINS/PANTRY: Rice, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, crackers, peanut butter
FROZEN: Frozen fruits, frozen veggies, frozen meals
Sample shopping list (organized):
Produce: strawberries, bananas, broccoli, carrots, apples, cucumber, pear
Dairy: milk, yogurt, shredded cheese, eggs
Meat: chicken breasts, turkey slices
Bread: whole wheat bread, whole wheat tortillas
Pantry: oatmeal, brown rice, granola, hummus
