The Greatest Arena
The Colosseum in Rome was the largest amphitheater in the ancient world! Built nearly 2,000 years ago, it could hold about 50,000 spectators. It was used for gladiator fights, wild animal shows, and mock sea battles where the arena was actually flooded with water. The Colosseum had 80 entrances so huge crowds could enter and exit quickly, just like modern stadiums!
