Understanding Exploration's Impact

After Columbus's voyages, a huge exchange of plants, animals, and ideas happened between the Americas and Europe, called the Columbian Exchange. Tomatoes, potatoes, corn, and chocolate went from the Americas to Europe. Horses, cattle, wheat, and sugar went from Europe to the Americas. Imagine Italian food without tomatoes or Irish food without potatoes! This exchange changed everyone's lives.
