The Internet

The internet began in the 1960s when scientists wanted to connect computers so they could share information. The first message sent between two computers was in 1969. They tried to type 'LOGIN' but the system crashed after just two letters, so the first internet message was 'LO'! Over the next few decades, more and more computers were connected until the internet became a worldwide network.
