Music in the Mountains
The Andes Mountains in South America are home to some of the most beautiful flute music in the world. The pan flute, called zampoña or siku, is made of bamboo tubes of different lengths tied together. Each tube makes a different note when you blow across the top. The sound is airy and magical, like the wind blowing through mountain valleys. The Inca people played pan flutes thousands of years ago!
