Wand Size Experiment
Does the size of the wand affect the size of the bubble? Let us test!
Make three wands from pipe cleaners or wire:
- Small: 3 cm diameter circle
- Medium: 6 cm diameter circle
- Large: 12 cm diameter circle
Dip each wand and blow gently. Measure the largest bubble each wand can make.
Results: bigger wands CAN make bigger bubbles, but you have to blow more gently. A big wand with a hard blow will break the bubble. A big wand with a gentle, steady blow creates giant bubbles!
The world record bubble was over 50 feet long, made with a rope wand!
