Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. As a child, he was NOT a good student — he daydreamed constantly and his teachers thought he was slow. He did not talk until he was 4 years old! His parents worried something was wrong.

But Einstein was not slow — he was THINKING. He asked questions nobody else asked: What would it be like to ride on a beam of light? Why does a compass needle always point north? What IS gravity, really?
