First Aid Scenario Challenge

Scenario 1: Your friend trips on the playground and scrapes their knee. It is bleeding a little. What do you do?
Answer: Help your friend to a bench. Tell a teacher or adult. If you have access to water, help rinse the scrape. An adult can apply a bandage. GREEN light situation.
Scenario 2: While playing soccer, you get kicked in the shin and a bruise is forming. What do you do?
Answer: Stop playing and rest. Apply an ice pack (wrapped in cloth) for 15-20 minutes. Elevate your leg if possible. RICE! GREEN light.
Scenario 3: A classmate bumps their head hard on the edge of a desk and seems confused. What do you do?
Answer: Tell a teacher IMMEDIATELY. Head bump + confusion = YELLOW/RED. The teacher will decide if 911 is needed. Stay with your classmate and keep them calm.
Scenario 4: You find your younger sibling on the floor not moving after falling off a chair. What do you do?
Answer: Call out for an adult. If no adult responds quickly, call 911. Do not try to move them. RED light situation.
