Sit-Ins and Marches

A sit-in is when people peacefully sit somewhere to protest unfair rules. In 1960, four Black college students sat at a whites-only lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina. They were told to leave but they stayed seated peacefully. More and more people joined them!
