Notes in Your Own Words
When you find a fact that answers one of your questions, write it down β but use YOUR OWN WORDS. Do not copy the exact sentence from the book.
Book says: 'Emperor penguins can dive to depths of over 500 meters to find food.'
Your notes: 'Emperor penguins dive very deep β over 500 meters β to find food.'
Putting facts in your own words helps you UNDERSTAND the information better. It also shows the teacher that YOU learned it, not just copied it.
