Every Map Needs These Parts
A good treasure map has four essential parts:
1. GRID: Lines that create squares with letter columns and number rows. This lets you give coordinates for every location.
2. COMPASS ROSE: A star shape showing N, S, E, W so the reader knows which direction is which. North is always at the top!
3. MAP KEY (LEGEND): A box that explains what symbols mean. A tree symbol = forest. A wavy line = river. An X = treasure! Without a key, nobody can read your symbols.
4. TITLE: Every map needs a name! Treasure Map of Skull Island or Secret Map of the Enchanted Forest.
