What Is a Bar Graph?

A bar graph uses bars (rectangles) to show amounts. The taller the bar, the bigger the number. Bar graphs have a title (what the graph is about), labels on the bottom (categories), and numbers on the side (scale). By reading where each bar stops, you can find the value it represents.
