What Is a Tip?
A TIP is extra money you leave for the server who brought your food. It says thank you for good service!
A simple rule: $1 tip for every $5 you spend.
Meal costs $10. Tip: $10 has two $5s, so $1 + $1 = $2 tip.
Meal costs $15. Tip: three $5s, so $3 tip.
Meal costs $20. Tip: four $5s, so $4 tip.
Grand total = meal + tip. For a $10 meal: $10 + $2 = $12 total.
**Think About It:** Tips reward good service. Servers work hard to make your meal enjoyable!
