When Multiplication Comes First
Sometimes step 1 is multiplication: you have groups of equal amounts. Step 2 is adding or subtracting from that total. Example: 3 bags with 5 toys each, plus 2 extra toys. Step 1: 3x5=15. Step 2: 15+2=17 toys.
