An entrepreneur is someone who starts a BUSINESS to solve a problem or fill a need. When people are thirsty on a hot day, a lemonade stand solves that problem! When neighbors go on vacation and need someone to walk their dog, a kid dog-walker solves that problem!
Entrepreneurs see what people NEED and create something to help them. Then they charge money for that service or product. That is how businesses work!
Kid businesses are a GREAT way to learn. Famous entrepreneurs who started young include: Warren Buffett (sold gum door-to-door at age 6), Mark Cuban (sold garbage bags at age 12), and Mikaila Ulmer (started a lemonade business at age 4 that is now in stores nationwide!).
