Vitamin C: The Immune Booster
Vitamin C is your immune system's best friend! It helps your body fight off colds and other illnesses.
What vitamin C does:

- Keeps your skin healthy

Foods rich in vitamin C:
- Oranges and orange juice (the most famous source!)
- Strawberries (one cup has MORE vitamin C than an orange!)
- Bell peppers (red peppers have the most)
- Broccoli
- Kiwi
- Tomatoes
- Pineapple
Fun fact: Hundreds of years ago, sailors on long ocean voyages got a disease called scurvy because they had no fresh fruits or vegetables for months. Once they started carrying citrus fruits on ships, scurvy disappeared! That is how powerful vitamin C is.
Your body cannot store vitamin C, so you need to eat it every day. Luckily, fruits and vegetables are full of it!
