What Are Chapter Books?

Emma opened her backpack. Her lunchbox was not there! She checked every pocket. She looked under her desk. She looked in her cubby. No lunchbox. 'Oh no,' said Emma. 'I must have left it at home.' Her stomach growled. It was going to be a long day without lunch. Chapter books are different from picture books. They have MORE text, LESS pictures, and the story continues across many pages. Each chapter is like a mini-story that connects to the bigger story.
