Same and Different

When we compare, we look at how things are the same. When we contrast, we look at how things are different. You do this all the time! You might compare two flavors of ice cream. Chocolate is sweet. Vanilla is sweet too. They are both sweet! That is a comparison. But chocolate is brown and vanilla is white. That is a contrast.
