HEADLINE: Second Graders Plant School Garden

The second grade class at Lincoln Elementary planted a garden this week. The students planted tomatoes, sunflowers, and carrots. 'We wanted to learn how plants grow,' said teacher Ms. Rivera. The class will water the garden every day. They hope to harvest vegetables by June. 'I can't wait to eat the tomatoes!' said student Marco. The garden project is part of a science unit about plants.
