THE LOST SOCK

Characters: MOM, JAKE

Setting: A messy bedroom

MOM: (looking around the room) Jake, this room is a disaster!

JAKE: (hiding socks under his pillow) It's not THAT bad, Mom.

MOM: I can see three pizza boxes, a basketball, and... is that a frog?

JAKE: (nervously) That's... Fernando. He's my science project.

MOM: (sighing) Jake, I just need to find your other sock. The washing machine ate one.

JAKE: (pulling a sock from under the bed) This one?

MOM: That's a GLOVE, Jake.

JAKE: (grinning) Close enough?

MOM: (laughing) Oh, Jake.
