Breathing In
When you breathe IN (inhale), air goes through your nose or mouth, down your throat, through your windpipe (trachea), and into your two lungs. Your lungs are like two big spongy bags in your chest. A muscle under your lungs called the diaphragm pulls down, making your chest bigger and sucking air in β like pulling a plunger! You breathe about 20,000 times a day without even thinking about it!
